"Snowy", also known simply as The Guide, real name Wray, is an Ultra from Planet Glacier in the Ultraman Lightning continuity.
Appearance[]
Snowy's design is rather plain, being silver at the base with black and white lines across his body. He has round, blue eyes and wears a long scarf.
Personality[]
Snowy is ignorant and cold on the outside (really he's just shy,) but deeply cares for the safety of Ultras who visit Planet Glacier. He knows all about the different monsters inhabiting it, which makes him all the more curious about aliens landing on the planet.
Snowy rarely visits Glacier City, although he makes sure to bring lost Ultras there so that they can meet other Ultras and get shelter from the cold.
In RPs, Snowy is far more extroverted and emotional than in canon works, as is shown by his feelings for Ultrawoman Zepellion.
History[]
Origins[]
175,000 years ago, the Ultra colonies in the Central Space Universe, originating from the universe of Albios, were dwindling in numbers. Their home planet, Jotunheim, was becoming incapable of supporting their lives, and so they set out in search of other planets. The magic-based Ultras eventually found Planet Glacier, and unlike the M78 Ultras who would eventually evolve, were able to thrive in spite of the cold temperatures. A small civilization was set up across the planet, which would become ruins in the present day.
In spite of the colonies, Ultra numbers continued to fall. Eventually, an idea was had so crazy it just might work: cryogenically freeze Ultras to try and restart their civilization in the future. One of the Ultras who volunteered was a youth named Wray, relatively unremarkable other than his above-average snow magic. Along with several other Ultras, Wray enacted the plan, and was magically frozen in time. However, something went wrong. All the Ultras except Wray, at one point or another, died in their sleep, and when Wray finally awoke, he had no memories of his origin.
Free, the now anonymous Ultra wandered the surface of Planet Glacier, uncertain of what to do or where to go. Eventually, however, he stumbled upon something: a gigantic, walking mountain. The two struck up a conversation, and the Ultra learned of Planet Glacier and its inhabitants, including Ultras, which he realized he was one of. The "old man" Hyozan suggested that the Ultra wander the planet and get used to its every area before putting himself to good use.
And so wander the planet the Ultra did, exploring ruins and caves, mountains and oceans. It wasn't long before he knew Planet Glacier's surface like the back of his hand. Finally, he approached the other Ultras in Ultra Megalopolis. He offered his aid to exploring colonists, and was welcomed with open arms, though he himself was a bit shy about it. Since then the Ultra continued to live a hermit-like life, occasionally reaching out to Ultra visitors to guide them, but usually keeping to himself.
Modern Day[]
Snowy does not remember his past or his real name; "Snowy" is a nickname that Mebius gave him during his trip to Planet Glacier, and he liked the sound of it.
As far as he knows, Snowy has lived on Planet Glacier all his life, guiding Ultras that visit the planet.
Ultraman Mebius Side Story: Burning Heart, Freezing Heart[]
Snowy will make his first appearance as the deuteragonist of this special.
Children of Tiga: Attack on Glacier[]
Snowy is set to have his first canon meeting with Ultrawoman Zepellion and her brother, Ultraman Prime, in this upcoming roleplay. This will also be his first meeting with Ultraman Lightning himself.

- Magic Meter: Snowy does not appear to have a time limit, as his Color Timer only blinked when he was freed from Pridesm's possession, which greatly weakened him.
- Eyes: Snowy possesses standard Ultra vision. He can see clearly in the snowstorms that plague Planet Glacier.
- Ultra Skin: Snowy has standard Ultra Skin, but he is resistant to cold temperatures.
- Scarf: Snowy wears a long scarf around his neck.

Kris closes his eyes and spreads his hands, activating the transformation by willpower. His body freezes solid, then shatters to reveal a blue light that grows giant before dissipating in a swirling blast of cold to reveal Snowy.

- Cryo Blast: Snowy can release a blast of cold energy similar to Kiryu's Absolute Zero from his hands, capable of freezing foes solid from the extremely low temperatures.
- Cryo Burst: The enhanced version of the Cryo Blast, based on Mebius' Mebium Burst. Snowy launches a ball of cold energy at absolute zero temperatures, which freezes the opponent solid before causing them to crumble into dust.
- Snow Shower: Snowy fires a blast into the air. It explodes into a cloud of snow which rains ice bullets down on the target.
- Snow Slash: An Ultra-Slash shaped like a large snowflake. It freezes any wounds it inflicts. This is actually Snowy's version of a Magic Circle, although it is exclusively used by him as a weapon.
- Snow Cyclone: Snowy whips up a tornado of snow and ice and blasts it at the target. Similar to the Nexus Hurricane.
- Snow Shell: Basically a snow version of Ultraman Rosso's Ground Coating.
Physical[]
- Punch: A punch attack which he hasn't bothered to name.
- Kick: A kick attack which he hasn't bothered to name.
- Chop: A chop attack which he hasn't bothered to name.
- Frostbite Strike: Through direct physical contact, Snowy can inflict his enemies with a form of extreme frostbite. Upon contact, the target develops frost burns that turn their skin black, cause excruciating pain, and will slowly spread for as long as contact is maintained.
Other[]
- Ultra Snow Fort: Snowy can shape snow into a wall barrier to block attacks. It freezes projectiles that hit it.
- Ultra Igloo: A dome version of his Ultra Snow Fort.
- Snowballs: Snowy can use his cryokinesis to form snowballs. He mainly throws these at monsters to distract them, although he can roll larger ones to do some damage.
Combination[]
- Thermal Burst: Snowy fires the Cryo Burst, while Ultraman Mebius in Burning Brave fires the Mebium Burst. The two attacks collide and merge into a deadly ball of fiery and cold energy.
- Double Shower Attack: Snowy and Ultrawoman Zepellion stand side by side, with Snowy's left hand on Zepellion's left shoulder and Zepellion's right hand on Snowy's right shoulder. They touch their free hands together, then point them upwards, firing the Snow Shower and Zeperion Shower, respectively. The result is a cloud of energy which rains down many blasts of ice and Zeperion, reducing beings unlucky enough to stand under it to shreds.

Weapons[]
- Scarf: Snowy's signature scarf appears to be decorative, but actually has several abilities.
- Space Polyester: The scarf is sewn from an alien-made fabric known as Space Polyester, making it as durable and resistant as the Ultra wearing it.
- Extension: Somehow, Snowy's scarf can extend to whip or entangle his foes. Even Snowy himself is not completely sure how it/he does this.
- Snow Pack Gauntlets: Snowy encases his arms in packed snow, forming a pair of large hammer/fist gauntlets which he uses to increase his punching power. They can also be used to launch powerful punches of cold energy for long range.
- Giga Frozen Crush: An incredibly powerful punch attack with both gauntlets, powerful enough to send Tyrant (Dual Element) flying back. However, using this attack will destroy the gauntlets.
- A ranged version of this attack can also be used, where Snowy fires the gauntlets off of his arms as a pair of massive, destructive snowballs.
- Giga Frozen Crush: An incredibly powerful punch attack with both gauntlets, powerful enough to send Tyrant (Dual Element) flying back. However, using this attack will destroy the gauntlets.
Abilities[]
- Cold Resistance: As one would expect of an ice-manipulating Ultra, Snowy can resist the cold far better than other Ultras.
- Snow Magic: Snowy, as his nickname suggests, can manipulate ice and snow into whatever form he wants. He can form ice, snow or cold energy from any moisture available to him, either from standing water, the atmosphere, or possibly even his own body. Note that he greatly prefers snow to ice. It is later revealed that he controls snow and ice via magic, inherited from his Albios lineage.
The form Pridesm takes when it absorbs Snowy's light energy and fuses itself with the Ultra's body.

During Children of Tiga: Attack on Glacier, when Lightning, Prime and Zepellion enter their super forms, Lightning decides to let Snowy borrow his Attacker Armor so he can keep up with them.
Unfortunately, due to his lack of fulgurkinetic powers, Snowy cannot use the armor to the same extent as Lightning. However, he discovers that he can merge the armor's own abilities with his cryokinesis to command freezing bolts akin to the ice half of Mebius' Thermal Shock.
This armor was returned to Lightning, and seeing as it would later be broken in Lightning's hands, there is second to no chance of Snowy achieving this form again.

Kris is Snowy's human disguise. He makes his first appearance in Unite! Ultras from 26 Universes: Defeat the Dark Sorcerer!
Trivia[]
- Snowy is obviously inspired by Ultraman Blizzard and Ultraman Blank.
- His scarf is obviously inspired by Orb Sky Dash Max and S Wind Change.
- Several of Snowy's techniques are inspired by Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat and the Frost Giants from Marvel.
- However, I stuck to snow-based abilities rather than ice.
- His personality is partially based on Silver the Hedgehog.
- Pridesm's possession of Snowy was inspired by the fact that Necrozma is able to possess Solgaleo and Lunala by absorbing the light inside their bodies. Ultras are beings of light, so I thought "wouldn't that be cool?"
- Snowy's true origins and identity will eventually be revealed.
